Call for Nomination of Awards (Deadline: 30^th April 2025)

The PVSEC Awards, PVSEC Special Awards, and Hamakawa Award will be given during the opening ceremony of PVSEC-36 on Nov. 10, 2025, at the Auditorium of Chulalongkorn university, Bangkok, Thailand.

Terms of Reference

The PVSEC Organizing Committee is now inviting nominations for the above Awards which will be awarded at the PVSEC-36 in Bangkok. Nominations can be made by any member of the photovoltaic technical community with a nomination letter including no more than 200 words recommendation reasons on his or her key achievements with contributions and brief vitae to be forwarded to the Chairperson of the PVSEC-36 Award Committee, e mail: secretary@pvsec-36.com.

Individuals nominated for the Awards must have considered the following criteria:

【PVSEC AWARD】 The person who has been devoting oneself to the progresses of Photovoltaic Science and Engineering for many years, belonging to PVSEC Society in principle.

【PVSEC SPECIAL AWARD】 The person or group who has been contributing a great deal in any one of the following PV fields; growth of photovoltaic industrial technology, public policy-making, revolution, international activities, international standardization, human resource development, educational activities, dissemination activities.

【Hamakawa AWARD】 This award is named in honor of Professor Yoshihiro Hamakawa, a founder of the PV community in Japan and the Asia/Pacific PV Conference (PVSEC). The purpose of the award is to recognize scientists and engineers who have made outstanding research and technological accomplishment, and creativity of PV energy conversion. The winners of the PVSEC Awards, PVSEC Special Awards and Hamakawa Award will receive an engraved plaque with the name of Award. Especially, the winner(s) of the PVSEC Award will be invited to deliver a commemorative lecture.
